Phyna Failed To Learn From Past BBNaija Winners

Phyna’s regrets will be long. Very long.

Phyna was Season 7. She was 25 years old that year. A developed frontal lobe. No excuses. A full-grown adult. She had 6years of experience to key into from past winners. I’m not a housemate, just a fan of the show, but from observation, every year the current housemates only really have about one year to put their lives in order and maximize the fame that comes with the show. After that, visibility drops, popularity fades, and things quiet down.

BBNaija is one of the fastest ways to become a celebrity, but also one of the fastest ways to lose relevance. From what I’ve observed, the biggest winner is usually the actual winner of the season. There is no financial reward from second place. That’s why it’s important for housemates to take the arena games and sponsorship tasks seriously that's where they made a few bucks. Even making Top 5 is not a guarantee of long-term success. At the end of the day, you just pray you have loyal fans.

Back to Phyna.

Watching the show over the years, I noticed that if you don’t already have a plan or business before entering the house, chances are you’ll eventually go broke. I was never a housemate, but even me, I already have a well-structured plan for myself if I ever go on the show. When people make mistakes like this, they’ll always look for someone else to blame. If only Phyna had taken time to study past winners and see where they are today, she might have noticed the same patterns. Phyna was a fan of the show just like me. While I watch for the entertainment. I also watch for other reasons. What happens after 1year. Where are the housemates.

Many former housemates are struggling financially. The lucky ones have moved into content creation, holding tightly to the few brands still willing to work with them, trying not to damage those relationships, and reducing unnecessary appearances at events. Some like Pharmsavvy realized very early it wasn't working and quietly went back to his pharmacy job and he's happy. Same with Victory of last year. He is never seen at events.  Cos you can't be using the small money you have to pay fashion designers to make clothes for you while you have no means of sustaining that lifestyle.

There is a reason Mercy still has relevance till today or is not broke. I heard Mercy Eke supplies diesel to parts of Lekki, Banana Island, and VGC areas where she also owns properties. That’s smart. Whitemoney eventually opened a restaurant, though at first he spent a lot trying to push his music career. Sense came late, but thankfully not too late.

Phyna honestly doesn’t strike me as someone who would easily listen to advice about investing. Now she’s crying because the money has finished. Phyna probably forgot all those times she was constantly posting outfits Tiannah styled for her. Unless those outfits were free, we all know those clothes are not cheap at all. House rent in Lekki where she lives is also not cheap.

I just hope Imisi invested wisely too, because she was also starting to go down the route of constantly giving money to family. The moment she slowed down because the demands became too much, her mother came online complaining. I genuinely hope she invests properly because the economy is hard right now. Brands are even creating their own content these days instead of paying influencers huge amounts for brief campaigns with little return on investment.

Going to the BBN show is exciting. That's all everyone thinks of. But none of the housemates really have a well laid plan on what to do after the show. 🤷‍♀️

Lady Claims VDM Is The Father Of Her Child

The Woman Who Claimed VeryDarkMan Fathered Her 9-Year-Old Daughter, The Full Breakdown by Fidelis Ozuawala. For those who couldn't watch the video, i couldn't too as the audio was bad, i used the transcript tool in the Learn with Fidelis platform to fetch out the audio, and i used the Optimize tool to optimize and proofread the texts, that's how i got this plain english. Listen and Enjoy!.. --   A woman walked into VeryDarkMan's office with one of the boldest claims ever.  She said VDM (Martins Vincent Otse) is the father of her 9-year-old daughter. VDM and his lawyer, Barrister Marshal Abubakar, sat her down and patiently dismantled her story piece by piece.  Here is how the whole drama unfolded. "I don't have a life of my own any longer, I am more or less a dead person" That was how the woman opened. Very heavy. Very dramatic.  She said the problem started 9 years ago in 2017, then corrected herself to 9 and 8 years ago.  The timeline was alr...

Akon's Recent Interview With Shade Room About How He Helped Nigerian Musicians

After Akon's recent The Shade Room interview, the part people ran with was his views on polygamy. Instablog clipped up that part and posted for debates.  I thought that was the least significant part of the interview. The guy spoke about how much he poured into Nigerian artistes. Then he was a global phenomenon. He'd signed successful artistes like Lady Gaga and T-Pain. So his eyes were on Nigeria. He'd noticed that Wizkid was super talented but Banky W didn't have the resources to position him internationally. So he signed Wizkid to his label, Konvict Muzik. Their partnership helped put Afrobeats on the global map before others took things to the next level. Collaborations like "Escape" and "Don't Dull (Remix)" dropped, and Wizkid's international career took off!  His support opened doors for Wizkid's future global hits and collabs. Next, he developed artists like Psquare and D'banj. He said the music made by our artists ...
