A woman walked into VeryDarkMan's office with one of the boldest claims ever. 

She said VDM (Martins Vincent Otse) is the father of her 9-year-old daughter. VDM and his lawyer, Barrister Marshal Abubakar, sat her down and patiently dismantled her story piece by piece. 

Here is how the whole drama unfolded.

"I don't have a life of my own any longer, I am more or less a dead person"

That was how the woman opened. Very heavy. Very dramatic. 

She said the problem started 9 years ago in 2017, then corrected herself to 9 and 8 years ago. 

The timeline was already scattered from the start.

Woman: "I am not coming to have a relationship with you, not to fight you. I have been taking care of all this myself, right from the onset. The more I try to push, the more everything keeps on scattering in my face. I don't have a life of my own any longer. everytime the baby keep saying "I want to see my daddy, I want to see my family", it is only this matter. Even I have tried my best to go to another country, I always can't."

She said she was ready to face the law, ready to go to prison, because life had become unbearable. Then she brought up DNA.

"You just said a lot of stories without really saying anything"

VDM cut straight through the emotional opening. This was his exact line, not the lawyer's. 

He wanted direct answers.

VDM: "You just said a lot of stories without really saying anything. So DNA, for what? What are we going for DNA for?"

This set the tone for everything that followed.

Her Identity, Name After Name After Name

She first gave her first name as ThankGod, then said before that her name was Favoour. Then she admitted her real baptismal name is ThankGod Iji. She said she is from *Inaudible* but likely Delta/Rivers/Benin, Ikede area (likely Edo State).

Her daughter's name, she said, is Laughter David, currently in Primary 3 in school. Remember this name. It becomes important.

The Story Of How The Baby Was Conceived:

She said they met in 2017 in Oniru Estate, Lagos when she was 20 years old. She was staying with friends in an apartment.

Lawyer Marshal: "So you are saying you met VDM in Oniru in 2017?"

Then the story shifted. 

She said she actually moved from Oniru to a place near Kilo junction (that is a real junction in Surulere, Lagos) because she followed a male friend to visit his elder sister.

Lawyer Marshal caught the contradiction immediately.

Lawyer Marshal: "Initially you said his sister. You went to meet your friend at his sister's house. Now it's a hotel?"

Woman: "Yes, his sister stays in the hotel."

So within minutes, the sister moved from a house to a hotel. Then she added that she was a call girl at the time, but insisted the only person she slept with around that period was VDM, with no protection.

VDM Dropped The Bomb That Ended The Story

This is the moment that exposed everything. Listen well.

Marshal: "Are you aware that until recently, Martins had never been to Lagos? "

VDM: "The first time I went to Lagos was in 2014, and I went straight to Badagry. I was even robbed. The second time was around 2018, then 2019. So how is it possible that I met you in 2017 and we had sex? Where did we have this sex? Was it on the road, in the car, on the bed, in an apartment?"

Marshal to the Woman: "What's the name of your friend you went to visit where you met the Father of this your baby?"

Woman: "I can't remember her name"

She kept saying "the same hotel." She could not name the hotel. 

She could not describe it. She just kept saying "the hotel."

How She "Discovered" VDM Was The Father, Pure Dream.

Lawyer Marshal & VDM: "When did you find out it was VDM that was the father?"

Woman: "Four years ago."

Lawyer Marshal: "How? What made you think it is him?"

Woman: "Because I keep on seeing it in my dream. Dragging a child with me." Fidelis burst into laughter here.. LOL 

Yes. A dream. That is the whole evidence. No pictures. No messages. No witnesses. Just a dream.

VDM: "I know you watch a lot of my videos online. So you must have realised this before."

This was VDM saying the obvious, she built the story around his image because she watches him online.

The Daughter's Name Was Actually Another Man's Name

This part was wild. She said she named her daughter Laughter David.

VDM: "Why did you give your daughter that name?"

Woman: "I gave her that name because I was thinking that once she is 10 years, I would change her name to my father's name."

But then it came out that David is not her father. David is actually the name of a male friend she met after she got pregnant.

Woman: "I met him like four or five months after I was pregnant. 

His name is David. We stayed here in Abuja, Gwagwalada,  but now I think he has moved to Malaysia."

So the child carries the name of a random friend she met while already pregnant, not VDM, not her biological father. Make it make sense.

The Abortion Attempt:

She said when she found out she was pregnant, she tried to terminate it in Gwagwalada

Woman: "The doctor said they cannot touch it, that he is not ready to see the wrath of God. He asked me to come back the next day with 20,000 naira that he would help me avoid the pregnancy."

She said she almost lost her life. That;s why she left the pregnancy.

Her Parents Know Nothing:

Lawyer Marshal: "Does your parents know that the child has a father? Did you tell them who the father is?"

Woman: "I did not tell them any story. I just told them he is not around."

Lawyer Marshal: "So up to this very moment, your parents are not aware of who the father is. Even yourself, you have only come to find out in your dream."

I told my parents that, the father of my baby is NOT aroundd.

She confirmed. All these years, nobody in her real life knows who the father is. Only her dreams know.

I was going to 20 when i had this baby, and i'm 28 now, the baby will be 9years this year.

The Pain About Her Own Father:

She opened up about her biological father, and the pain was real, even if the rest of the story was not.

Woman: "My father is the major problem I have in this life. The way this man maltreat us and my mother, this man don't take care of us. He talks to us anyhow. He lays courses on us. I cannot live with that torture. 

He told my mom that every mother is a bad luck to him. He said every mother is a bad luck, so how will the children that come out of their womb be responsible?"

She said she almost committed suicide because of him.

This part is heavy. It explains a lot about her mental state, but it does not make VDM the father.

The Twist, She Had Met VDM Before:

Now this part was very shocking. 

She admitted she had actually met VDM in person before, but not for a relationship.

Woman: "I went to you before in Lagos. I think I met you at a court. TBS. For justice case, last year December."

TBS is Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos. She had come to meet VDM there because her sister was detained.

VDM: "You came because of your sister's case?"

Woman: "Yes, my sister was locked up. You told me you were going to get me a SAN to stand for my sister. You gave me Mr. Oris' mobile number."

A SAN is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, a top level lawyer. VDM had actually tried to help her.

VDM: "So what happened, you didn't get the SAN again?"

Woman: "Well, I am the kind of person, when I start something I love to end it myself. I did not call Mr. Oris. I just sent him a DM and some pictures."

VDM: "Which style did we use to have the sex"

Woman: "I don't know".

Her sister eventually came out on bail without VDM's help.

VDM: "Four years ago you have been seeing me in your dreams? Why? I wasn't popular. I wasn't popular then. I started blowing up before brother Mark."

VDM was pointing out that four years ago he was not even famous enough for anyone to dream about him.

Lawyer Marshal Put It Plainly:

The lawyer laid out the facts without any sugar.

Lawyer Marshal: "If the premise of your allegations is just your dream, I understand. As a lawyer, I have seen all kinds of dream interpretations in my life. Somebody has come to me before saying he owns a national stadium, he owns United Nations, and his bank will pay him 1.8 million dollars. It is nothing new."

Then came the warning:

Lawyer Marshal: "This drama, let me tell you, is a very serious thing. If VDM decides to take action, I can assure you I will get you a very good accommodation in Suleja prison. I am not joking. You need to go through the right channels."

VDM: "Why did you give your daughter's name as Laughter?"

Woman: "It's the Spirit"

She Swore By The Gods, She Swore by the earth, She swore by the Mother's of the earth.

When pushed, she doubled down on the dream.

Woman: "I came here because of what I saw in my dream. But if it is not so, let the gods judge me. Let your ancestors judge me if they are real. I swear by the head. I swear by the mothers in the sea. I am mentally stable. I am not sick."

VDM: "That is hallucination. Bro, I am fine. She cannot have my baby. I have never met this woman in my life. I have never, ever, ever seen her in my life before today. And she actually came in for a garment."

How VDM Ended It, Transport Fare And A Warning:

VDM chose mercy. He could have pressed charges. He did not.

VDM: "Thank God you are a woman. Or else, jazz. Or jazz. Thank God."

He then told the lawyer to give her transport fare to go back home.

Lawyer Marshal: "maybe we can help her with transport fare to locate herself. I will give you cash. Not because I owe you anything, but so that you can go back. But do not try this thing again. Don't try to say, I am in Benin, I cannot leave Benin, I am in Owerri. That is finished. Don't play this kind of drama again."

The Bottom Line:

This woman claimed VDM fathered her 9-year-old daughter based on nothing but a dream. She said she's fine, she's mentally Okay. Her own story kept changing, apartment, sister's house, hotel, hotel, hotel. 

The child carries the name of a man named David, who is neither VDM nor her biological father. VDM was not even in Lagos in 2017 when she claimed they met. 

She was a call girl at the time and admits she cannot really be sure who the father is. She had met VDM once, but it was over her sister's court case, nothing romantic.

VDM and Lawyer Marshal showed her kindness she did not deserve, gave her transport fare, and warned her never to try this kind of claim again on anybody.

Dream no be evidence. 

DNA na the only truth.

VDM "Why me? Why not Burna Boy, Why didn't you choose Donjazzy or someone else, why me?"
